"Why don't you recommend SOTF tuning?"
Switch-on-the-fly tuning has zero benefits, and many downsides on any modern ford. This is true no matter who your tuner is.
Firstly, the TCM needs a few hundred miles to relearn after a large change is made to the power level. So you can't just flip the switch from 1-5 to race somebody real quick and then put it back down to 1. The transmission won't know what to do and it will shift terribly, risking damage to the transmission. Given the fact that you have to let the truck relearn for 100+ miles whenever you turn the switch, it is not any more convenient than just changing tunes on your EZLYNK. Second, these ECUs do not have the capability to store different tunes. SOTF tunes are simply a max-effort race tune that pulls fuel on settings 1-4. No other parameters in the tune are able to be changed based off of the switch position. So you end up with a truck that only runs the way it's supposed to on level 5, again defeating the purpose.
